April 2015

I’ll start this post with EASTER SWEETS!! :-)

A pretty mix of flower cookies, butterfly cookies, Easter egg cookies, cross cookies – and an assortment of what I like to call “sugar scripture” cookies…

This cake was for little Sadie’s 3rd birthday – a “Frozen” themed cake covered in blue fondant, embellished with scroll work, sugar snowflakes and a gold crown topper. The flavor was chocolate cake with fresh strawberry jam and strawberry buttercream filling.

This batman themed cake was for Haley’s 18th birthday. The flavor was vanilla bean cake with vanilla bean buttercream.

Next up, some fun daisy cookie favors on sticks! They were for a baby shower – the new baby girl’s name will be daisy :-) How cute!

This M&M cake was ordered by a nice lady named Sam for her mom – the design was inspired by a cake she found on Pinterest! The flavor of the cake was chocolate with vanilla bean buttercream filling and finish. The M&M figurines and the M&M bag were handmade but the cascade of M&M’s were real candy (of course!) ;)

These cupcakes and cookie favors were for an office party bridal shower. Cupcake flavors were cinnamon swirl, berry swirl and lemon – all topped with vanilla bean buttercream.

Lastly, we have Emma’s 6th birthday – the theme was Willy Wonka’s factory so the sheet cake had a chocolate ganache river running down the cetner, fondant “grass” finish and lots of handmade fondant “candy” – lolipops, mushrooms, candy canes, gumdrops and stones! The cupcakes were topped with green buttercream to resemble grass and embellished with more “candy”! This was such a fun order!

Thank you to all of my customers – “new” customers, “returning” customers, “regular” customers – I appreciate each and every one of you :-)
