Deanna & Mike | 9-5-2015

Deanna and Mike’s wedding was held at Ironstone Ranch in Elizabethtown, PA!

Ironstone Ranch is one of those uniquely special venues that when you’re there, you feel like you’re in your own little world – and you’re surrounded by beauty everywhere! As I pulled up to the main barn area, Mike and his groomsmen were playing cornhole outside on the front lawn and there were two donkeys hanging out watching.  Then on the other side, behind the fences across from the bard, two enormous longhorn cattle stand there – it almost seemed like they were there to welcome guests as they drive in. How neat! :)

And then there’s the barn…

You walk in and you can’t help but just stand in “awe” for a moment. Just gorgeous.

Okay so let’s talk SWEETS! :)

I was so excited the first time I met with Deanna and her mom! Right from the start, they had so many good ideas for the design of the desserts table and they were so easy-going and fun. In the months leading up to the wedding, all of the details came together nicely and I was so pleased with how everything turned out. Deanna did a great job filling this table up with sweets!

She ordered cupcakes for her guests…

I really liked the different stands she provided to display the cupcakes on.

Cupcake flavors were: chocolate cake with raspberry buttercream, lemon cake with white chocolate buttercream, vanilla bean cake with cookies ‘n’ cream buttercream and carrot cake with cream cheese buttercream. YUM!

I loved the main focal-point of the table – a distressed frame with pictures of Deanna & Mike displayed in each window…

For the “cutting cake”, she went with a rustic-iced buttercream design and I decorated it with some beautiful fresh flowers from C&J Catering‘s floral design team. Deanna provided the boot toppers and little heart with their initials :)

Another cute addition to the table were the cookie favors – Deanna is from New Jersey and Mike is from Pennsylvania, so she wanted to do cookie favors in those shapes. We did them in tangerine and melon shades of orange, their wedding colors, and added a little heart on each cookie to represent the city where they each are from…

But wait, there’s more!

Deanna also ordered a surprise groom’s cake for Mike! The cake was in the shape of Pennsylvania and had embellishments to represent the cities that have significance to him and to their relationship.

Everything on this table was so personalized and really represented them as a couple. It was a really fun set-up!

Check out the favors she had put together for the guest also – full-size mason jars FILLED with candy!! They were adorable.

Here are some shots of the entire table all set up…

Some other pretty details I had a chance to catch on my way out…

Thank you to Deanna and her mom for trusting me with the wedding day sweets!! :) This surely was a fun project to work on!

I’ll be keeping an eye out for Joelle Lee Photography‘s photos of this beautiful wedding!

It was a pleasure working with this family and an honor to participate in an Ironstone Ranch event.

This truly is a one-of-a-kind venue – not only are the grounds beautiful, but so are the hearts of the owners. Their net profits go to support a wonderful charity called Brittany’s Hope. Check it out :)
