Whew, summer has been BUSY!!
I’m finally taking a break to post some of this summer’s cakes! Yay! :)
I’ll start with Yuka & Kuni’s wedding cake at Riverdale Manor – they went with a very “organic” look; a sheer naked cake adorned with fresh flowers and leaves. It was simple yet so pretty!
Next up, we have Gabrielle’s 1st birthday sweets! A couple weeks prior to her actual birthday, she got a large sculpted cupcake for her smash cake photo shoot! And then for her party, she got an adorable sheet cake and matching cookie favors – the color scheme was pink, silver and gold – and the figurine on the birthday cake was an edible version of her favorite stuffed animal piggy that she always carries around :)
Taylor and Jason were married at the Susquehanna Club in early June…Here is their beautiful wedding cake decorated with scroll work and bling to match the bride’s dress!
Emerson turned 2 and her mom ordered the cutest Minnie Mouse themed cake for her…
Jennifer ordered a cute Toy Story themed cake for her triplet boys’ birthday! (She supplied the figurines)
This was a super cute cake for little Addy’s birthday…it was a “girly horse” theme…
This next cake was for a bridal shower at Armstrong Valley Vineyard. Rustic iced buttercream cake with a fondant bride topper! :)
The last weekend in June was a double wedding weekend for me! I had Liz & Jon’s wedding at Colonial Country Club… Rustic buttercream iced cake with sugar roses and vintage topper provided by the couple…
And Jess & Eli’s wedding at the Wyndham Gettysburg!
This cake was delivered to Gettysburg in an all-day rainy downpour – five heavy tiers of cake adorned with fondant, sugar flowers and lace…but it made it there safely!! I loved Jess’s idea of adding little fondant figurines of their dogs peeking out from the base of the cake :) Such a cute personal touch!
Here’s a fun camping cake Bob’s girlfriend ordered for him!
This next cake was an extra special one as I got the opportunity to be an Icing Smiles “sugar angel” volunteer again. This is Kaedan and his Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood cake. Happy 3rd birthday Kaedan!
This cake was for Jason (Klock Entertainment) and Jess Klock’s twins’ birthday party! The theme was 101 dalmations – so cute! Here’s the cake and matching cookie favors…
And lastly, I’ll share Julie’s “ladybug picnic” birthday cake – this is now one of my favorites! Julie is the super sweet daughter of one of my close friends so it was a special treat to make her birthday cake this year :)
As always, thank you to my wonderful customers who keep me busy!! :)
