Monica & Josh | April 25th, 2015

This was the first wedding of the season for Kyrsten’s Sweet Designs –  And it was a BEAUTY!

Monica and Josh were married this weekend at the Battlefield Bed and Breakfast in Gettysburg. They had their ceremony outside and were lucky enough to have absolutely beautiful weather. The reception was held inside the barn…

The theme was rustic-vintage (love it!)…Monica hand-made pretty much all of the decorations – doily bunting was hung all around the barn along with pretty strung lights. The place settings were super cute – each napkin had a different vintage pattern and little “thank you” notes…

The centerpieces were also super pretty…

The variety of glass vases was really nice and I loved the flowers provided by Floral Designs by Heather Ann. Little elephants were on each table as well – and they were incorporated into the cake too, along with more beautiful flowers!

The cake flavors were almond with salted caramel buttercream filling, vanilla bean with vanilla bean buttercream filling, and chocolate with vanilla bean buttercream filling. The entire cake was “rustic-iced” in vanilla bean buttercream and adorned with fresh flowers. Simple yet so pretty – I love this style of cake.

Another special thing I loved about their reception decor was their “guest book” table –

The sign reads “No guest book here! Instead, grab a highlighter & find your favorite verse. When you’re done, sign your name. Now you’re a part of our daily devotions! Thank you!”. What a great idea!

1 Corinthians 13:13 – And now abideth faith, hope and charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. (KJV)

The event coordinator, Debbie, was kind enough to give me a tour of the grounds so of course I had to sneak a peek at the ceremony before I left ;)

Congratulations to the newly married couple, Monica and Josh Newnam! Thank you for letting me be a small part of your big day!!

Monica was so sweet and gave me such a nice review on Facebook…Happy brides make my heart happy :)
